Typhoon Haima takes direct aim at Hong Kong and Shenzhen– possible service disruptions

21/10/2016

Schools and offices have been closed and flights cancelled as a massive storm takes direct aim at Hong Kong and Shenzhen with winds of 145km/h and torrential rain.

Earlier, Typhoon Haima took over the Philippines killing at least eight people as ferocious gales and landslides destroyed tens of thousands of homes.

Typhoon Haima has weakened slightly but it continues to move closer to Hong Kong, and still poses a substantial threat to the territory.

Office closures may cause possible disruptions.
