4/11/2020

To Our Valued Customers,

BR International would like to make you aware that the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment have updated the Storage Declaration Guidelines for Manufactured Wooden Articles.

This Update provides the Exact Statements that Importers and Brokers should use for different scenarios to correctly declare that their imported goods have been stored in an appropriate way after Treatment.

Storage Certification must be provided on either a Manufacturer’s Declarations or Supplier’s Declarations and should include one of the following statements:

  1. "The <<insert product name/description>> has been stored in an appropriate way to minimise the risk of infestation or contamination by pests of biosecurity concern between the date that the goods were treated and when the goods were exported.”
This statement covers the scenario where goods are exported from the facility where treatment occurred.

  1. "The <<insert product name/description>> has been stored in an appropriate way to minimise the risk of infestation or contamination by pests of biosecurity concern between the date that the goods were treated, and when the goods left the facility.”
This statement covers the scenario where goods are treated and stored in the same facility, but are moved to a different storage facility prior to export. An Additional Storage Declaration will need to accompany this statement (please include statement 3 and 4).
