Port Drayage Report

Planned Teamster Activity 24th to 30th October 2015

Please note the Teamsters are once again making their presence at the port with Port Terminal gate activity. The Teamster disturbance pattern is to move around daily to different terminals to keep everyone guessing.

At this time there is no ILWU support to this Teamster activity.  The Teamsters are basically picketing drayman that have had rulings against them as it relates to driver status - employee or contract owner operator.

 

Teamster Activity update.  All activity as of 11:00 am this morning

 Pier T (TTI) Teamsters / Drivers are present at the front and back gates.  No picketing activity at the time, although they appeared to waiting for the identified trucks to arrive to commence picketing activities. Handing out leaflets.  (see attached)

 

Term 214 (YTI) Teamsters are present at their front gate.  No picketing activity at the time, although they appeared to waiting for the identified trucks to arrive to commence picketing activities.

 

Pier 400 (APM) Teamsters are present at their front gate.  No picketing activity at the time, although they appeared to waiting for the identified trucks to arrive to commence picketing activities.

 

Pier 233 (Evergreen – STS) Teamsters are present at their front gate.  No picketing activity at the time, although they appeared to waiting for the identified trucks to arrive to commence picketing activities.  Although early reports indicted heavy picketing of XPO Logistics trucks.             

 

Pier 234 (ITS) 15 Teamsters / Drivers are present at the front and back gates.  No picketing activity at the time, although they appeared to waiting for the identified trucks to arrive to commence picketing activities.

 

C20 (CUT) / Terminal 136 (TraPac) /  Terminal 121 (WBCT)  - No teamster present at the terminal gates at the time we conducted the recon.

 

Terminal 300 (APL – EMS) Teamsters are present at their front gate.  Small group picketing, resulting in delays in-gating facility. Passing out leaflets as well.

 

Terminal F10 (LBCT)   Heavy presence of Teamsters are present at their front gate.  Large group picketing, resulting in significant delays in-gating facility. Port Police facilitating gate traffic and picketing activities.  10 trucks in/out are being allowed at a time.  Passing out leaflets as well.
