Changes to import FCL and LCL AQIS packing declarations

7/11/2012

Dear all valued customers,

The following is an important announcement by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) as it relates to changes in FCL and LCL container packing declarations

Please be advised that the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service has released a new container packing declaration format for both FCL and LCL consignments arriving into Australia.

A summary of the changes is as per below

  • The format has changes (as per attached single and annual packing declaration)
  • Removal of the FCL / LCL indicator requirement
  • Removal of the BARK concern statement
  • Various changes to ISPM / treatment certification

We do suggest all customers pass on the new templates (as per the attached) to ALL overseas vendors so the new format is used and in place as soon as possible.

We are concerned that AQIS will stop accepting old formats in time to come so again we suggest a proactive approach be taken so as to eliminate any potential delays.

Our customer solutions team can assist with contacting your overseas vendors, if required, so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need assistance.
