Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Qingdao - Qingdao office closure and possible impact on freight transport

 The upcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is scheduled to be held in Qingdao from June 8th to June 10th 2018.

During the SCO summit period, security will become increasingly stringent in Qingdao region and the surrounding areas which will have great influence on freight and passenger transport.

The local government has announced temporary traffic control measures before and during the Summit, which at this stage will be difficult to accurately predict the impact this will have to freight operations.

Following the advice of relevant government departments, our Qingdao office will be closed on June 7th and June 8th to contribute to the successful opening of the Summit.

In order to best mitigate the impact to you, we encourage you to contact your Customer Solutions Team Member with any concerns you may have with respects to the impact to you during the SCO in order to pre-plan where required.
