INDUSTRY UPDATE – DP WORLD SHUTDOWN

The ongoing industrial dispute effecting DP World terminals has taken a turn for the worse.

DP World terminals in SYDNEY & MELBOURNE ARE CLOSED FOR TODAY’S MORNING SHIFT (6AM – 2PM)

Further detail rec’d from Industry advocate partner Free Trade Alliance (FTA)

“This morning DP World has attempted to engage employees in full R&D operations, this has not been accepted by CMMFEU members who have refused to work as required by DP World”.

It is currently unclear whether operations will resume on afternoon shift.

Regrettably this morning’s action by CMMFEU members suggests further Stop work, slow work or complete lockdown appears likely.
