Export Sanctions on Machinery and Related Goods to Russia and Specified Ukraine Regions

The Australian Government has introduced a ban on the export of machinery and related parts to Russia and areas of Ukraine temporarily under Russian control as of 26 October 2023.
The Specified Ukraine Regions include Crimea, Sevastopol, Luhansk and Donetsk.
 
The legislative instruments that implement these measures are on the Federal Register of Legislation as per below listed links.

 

Machinery and related parts as listed below are designated as export sanctioned goods for Russia and each Specified Ukraine Region.

 The provision of some services is also prohibited including:

  • Services which relate to the supply of machinery or related parts to Russia or Specified Ukraine Regions, and
  • Services which relate to the manufacture, maintenance or use of machinery and related parts for Russia or Specified Ukraine Regions.
