INDUSTRY UPDATE - Port of Melbourne - Potential Protest Actions

Port of Melbourne Operations has contacted our industry partners CTAA yesterday morning with the following important update about the potential for more Port Protest actions in the coming days:

Zim Sparrow is scheduled to arrive at Webb Dock early on Thursday 11 April.

We also anticipate activity in relation to the A15 Economic Blockade to Free Palestine campaign which is designed to disrupt global supply chains and cause economic harm.

Port of Melbourne is again working with Victoria Police to prepare for possible protest activity.

Necessary steps are being taken given the short time between these two events, including additional security resources and increased security patrols for the duration of the visit by the Zim Sparrow and the A15 campaign.

We will monitor the situation and provide further updates as they come to hand.
