Delays due to environmental protection ex Zhejiang, China and surrounding areas

Dear Valued customers,

 

Please note that the China government are strengthening environmental protection standards in Zhejiang area including Jilin , Shandong , Hainan , Sichuan , Tibet , Qinghai , Sinkiang provinces.

This has led to delays as suppliers are not meeting the required emission standards and have been ordered to close or postpone production for rectification.

Some factories shipping out of other ports have cancelled orders with their suppliers as they cannot purchase materials from them as a result of the above.

We have also been made aware that the price of materials has increased as a result on these strict rules surrounding environmental protection.

It’s expected that by mid to late September we should start to see an improvement with strict environmental policies in force.

As Zhejiang is in the north of china the above will also have a relationship to the ports of Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao and Xingang.
