General rate increase (GRI) update

Maersk General Rate Increase (GRI) for Europe to Australia and New Zealand
Due to the prevailing unsustainable freight rates in the container market, Maersk Line will be implementing a General Rate Increase (GRI) for all cargo moving from Europe to Australia and New Zealand, with effect from 1 April 2015.
Freight rates for all dry and reefer cargo moving from Europe to Australia and New Zealand will be increased by $150 USD per TEU and $300 USD per FFE.
This rate increase is a reflection of the current unsustainable rate levels that will not allow shipping lines to continue offering their current service portfolio.
