QUEENSLAND TRANSPORT CONGESTION & COVID DISRUPTION

29/3/2022

Dear Valued Customers

Over the past few weeks in QLD there has been severe weather conditions causing severe flooding, we have seen several vessels omit Brisbane which we have started to see dock in Brisbane recently all at once which is causing congestion.

Whilst in the past services have been relatively unscathed in Brisbane with COVID. Cases are now on the rise again and operators are feeling the effects of staff falling ill and having to isolate.

All of this compounded with the next two days severe weather warning with South East Queensland expected to experience flash flooding yet again, with today alone forecast to receive 130mm of rain.

What this means is that volumes have significantly increased with impacted labour and weather conditions capacity is stretched.

Whilst transport suppliers will do their ultimate best to limit the impact to our clients, in some instances it will be unavoidable, our transport team will communicate on any delays or direct impact to container deliveries or collections in a timely manner and assist with rescheduling where necessary.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and thankyou in advance for your understanding, if you have any further questions, please contact our transport team.

Thank you for using BR International.
