Dear Valued Customers

We are seeing Industrial action from the stevedore union that is and will effect many ports over the coming weeks.

Bans on overtime, shift extensions and work upgrades has once again come to light which is seeing vessel berthing delays up to 24-48 hours.  

The work bans have meant there is a constant impact on import container availability, export receival suspensions, and some truck servicing delays across some time zones. 

Patrick Terminals - Sydney

• Terminal currently operating as normal.

Patrick Terminals - Brisbane

• From 2300 on Friday 10 September 2021 until 2300 on Sunday 19 September 2021.

Patrick Terminals - Fremantle

• A stoppage of work of 24 hours duration commencing at 0700 on Friday 10 September 2021.

Patrick Terminals - Melbourne

• Upcoming industrial action will have an impact on vessels and may cause delays of 24 - 48 hours.
• 8 hours commencing at 1100 Wednesday 15 September 2021.
• 8 hours commencing at 1100 on Friday 17 September 2021.
• 4 hours commencing at 0300 on Wednesday 15 September 2021.
• 4 hours commencing at 0300 on Friday 17 September 2021.
• 0700 on Tuesday 14 September 2021 until 0700 on Monday 20 September 2021.
• 0700 on Tuesday 14 September 2021 until 0700 on Monday 20 September 2021.

This is likely to result in significant delays and added costs to the end user (importers/exporters).

We will be monitoring the situation closely and will keep you updated as the weeks progress.
