United Airlines will be adding a direct 787 from LAX to MEL

Virgin Atlantic will no longer be offering direct service via LAX to Melbourne starting October 26th, 2014. Cargo moving to Melbourne from LAX will move via Sydney or Brisbane by either via air or truck.

Singapore Airlines Cargo is eliminating all flights out of Chicago (ORD) as of September 2 2014. Cargo may still be booked out of Chicago ORD however will be trucked to Dallas (DFW) from where they will connect onto freighters to points in Europe, Middle East, Asia and beyond for transshipment.
