FURTHER DISRUPTION TO DP WORLD SYDNEY

To our Valued Customers,

 

We have been informed of further changes and industrial action as it relates to DP World Sydney work Stoppages.

 

This will have major impact on servicing unloading of vessels, slot booking times & loading of vehicles, as hours of operation have been further cut leaving only 10hrs of operation.

 

This will leave service providers with no option but to cart containers back to their yard for on delivery the following day.

 

Below is from DP WORLD Port Botany and outlines challenges faced with the limited capacity;

“Issue: MUA PROTECTED ACTION WORK STOPPAGES

Short Description: Carriers 

DP World Sydney has received further notices of Protected Action work stoppages from the Maritime Union of Australia.

One hour stoppages of work will occur at 4am, 5am, 12pm, 1pm, 8pm & 9pm FROM Monday 5/8/19 up to Sunday 11/8/19. This will affect vessel working, road and rail operations.

 

STOPPAGES FOR MONDAY 5TH AUGUST 2019 - SUNDAY 11TH AUGUST 2019

Issue Impact:

No slots will be issued for 0300, 0400 & 0500 Time Zones. Operations to recommence 0600. LAST TIME ZONE will be 0100

No slots will be issued for 1100, 1200 & 1300 time zones. Operations to recommence 1400. LAST TIME ZONE will be 0900

No slots will be issued for 1900, 2000 & 2100 time zones. Operations to recommence 2200 LAST TIME ZONE will be 1700”
