Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS)

To our Valued Customers,

 

Over the past week we have received numerous notices from Shipping Lines regarding the implementation of an Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS) as effective 1st June 2018. 

The Surcharge is related to increasing bunker (fuel) prices with cost recovery ranging from USD50 -USD95/TEU. 

The EBS is expected to be applied across all trade lanes on Imports into Australia and Exports from Australia. 

We are currently working with the carriers to mitigate the applicable quantum and will notify you of the impact on our rates per trade lane.
