Stevedore Stoppages - Urgent resolution required to salvage our international trade

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) engaged with DP World and Patrick stevedore executives in relation to the unauthorised industrial action that took place at their Melbourne operations on Friday 8 December 2017.

FTA / APSA will again also be meeting VICT today.

In separate industrial action, we also note the Port Authority of New South Wales advice that the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) have called another 24 hour stoppage commencing 0600 on Wednesday 13 December 2017.
