General Rate Increase ex Nth East Asia to Australia – 14th November 2013

Please note following media release concerning announcement of General Rate Increase ex North East Asia (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea) to Australia effective 14th November.

To ensure the continued provision of high quality services and sufficient capacity to cater for our customer requirements, Maersk Line is implementing the next phase of our revenue recovery program with effect from 14th November 2013.

Freight rates from North East Asia (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea) to Australia will be increased by USD 300 per TEU and USD 600 per FFE.

This rate increase is a reflection of the current unsustainable rate levels that will not allow shipping lines to continue offering their current service portfolio.
