INDUSTRY UPDATE - DP WORLD AUSTRALIA CYBER INCIDENT

12/11/2023

Dear Valued Customers

DP World Australia detected and began responding to a cyber security incident on Friday, November 10th.

They promptly initiated their response protocols, which included engaging with cyber security experts, actively isolating, and containing the incident and notifying the relevant authorities.

As they continue thier investigation, they have taken the decisive action to restrict landside access to their Australian port operations to safeguard their employees, customers, and networks. As a result, we will experience some extensive disruptions to port operations and freight services.

Port rotations, vessel delays and several vessel’s will be sub-contracted to move to other ports to relieve some stress in the logistics chain.

This interruption is likely to continue for a number of days and will impact the movement of goods into and out of the country. DP World Australia is working with its stakeholders to consider the impacts on its operations at specific ports.

We will continue to keep you updated as we receive more information.
