20/12/2012

To all our valued customers

We are pleased to note that the Australian and Malaysian Governments have agreed to a new free trade agreement effective 1st January 2013.

The new agreement will be called Malaysia Australia Free Trade Agreement (MAFTA).

As per other agreements all importers will need to produce a government issued certificate of origin to be able to claim duty free entry.

Please be advised the new MAFTA agreement will be supplementary to the current ASEAN free trade agreement and will not impact on products currently imported free of duty under
this agreement.
