Important notice for all Australian Importers from China – Shipping delays expected!

19/7/2016

To all our Valued Customers,

Please take note that the G20 summit will be held in Hangzhou China on the first week of September 2016. Hangzhou is the capital and most populous city of Zhejiang Province in East China. It sits at the head of Hangzhou Bay, which separates Shanghai and Ningbo.

Based on previous experience and with the additional elements of security for an event such as this we would expect to see major disruptions in the areas of transport and shipping. We would be suggesting all customers build in an additional 2-3 weeks for “into store” to cover any delays that may be experienced leading into the event and post the event.

For your information the G20 is made up of the finance ministers and central bank governors of 19 countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States of America. The remaining seat is held by the European Union, which is represented by the rotating Council presidency and the European Central Bank.

Please contact your assigned Customer Service Representative if you have any questions.

Keeping you updated,

Aaron Poole
