Patrick Terminals - Infrastructure Surcharge and Ancillary Charges - effective 10 July 2017

13/6/2017

Dear Valued Customer,

Patrick Terminals has released a notice in terms of an “Infrastructure Surcharge and Ancillary Charges" - effective 10 July 2017.

Less than three months after the announcement of Infrastructure Surcharges imposed on container transport operators by DP World, rival stevedore, Patrick Terminals will follow and announced an increase in Infrastructure Surcharges applicable to their Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Fremantle terminals.

The fee will be levied to Transport Operators and be charged through the ‘Vehicle Booking System’.

We understand this will have a significant impact on customers as transport providers are left with no option than to pass on these additional costs, along with a small administration fee.

The fee will be displayed separately as an additional line item on your invoice.

The Infrastructure Surcharge has been levied in Brisbane port for some time now by all terminals (DP World, Patrick Stevedores & Hutchison). DP World moved to implementing this levy nationwide and as expected Patrick has now followed.
